MRA via Expressway with TURN services on Expressway-E

Hi Guys,

Im just being certain with what ive read on the deployment of MRA in the guide:

https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-7/Mobile-Remote-Access-via-Expressway-Deployment-Guide-X8-7.pdf

Ensuring That TURN Services Are Disabled on Expressway-E

You must ensure that TURN services are disabled on the Expressway-E used for mobile and remote access.

1. Go to Configuration > Traversal > TURN. 2. Ensure that TURN services are Off.

We have an Expressway-E with Dual NIC with a NAT on external facing interface. TURN is to be used with Web Proxy as well.

Would i need to deploy a second Expressway pair for MRA with a public IP?

Tx

Rob.

TURN is not supported with MRA at this time, it is on the roadmap from what I understand and my be coming to future releases, hopefully soon.

Hi Chris,
ive had a look at this guide: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-10/Mobile-Remote-Access-via-Expressway-Deployment-Guide-X8-10.pdf
it has no mention to disable TURN for this version (x8.10.4). Not really finding a clear answer as to whether TURN is now supported for MRA or not.
