Hi Joseph,

For application user, you need the following:

utils reset_application_ui_administrator_password

This command resets the application user interface administrator password.

For OS login, you need to use the following command:

set password user admin

Good afternoon Manish,

I am coming across a similar issue, however in our case we have the Cisco IM&Presence Admin credentials.  We do not have the Cisco Unified IM and Presence Operating System Administration / CLI access, do you know of a way to reset the OS Admin??

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!!

Best Regards,

Diana

Hi,

you can refer this good DOC for recovery of password on VM.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/118948-technote-cucm-00.html

Instead of CUCM, you need to download recovery of IMP .Below is link for IMP version 10.5

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286269517&softwareid=282074312&os=&release=10.5(2)SU2&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest&i=!pp

redgs,

aman

Thank you Aman!

I will definitely give this a try!

I appreciate your response.  I believe this would have worked, but it turned out, I was using the wrong user to try and login.  This installation was a pre-installed installation from Cisco and it came with globaladmin as the default administrative GUI CM user.

Thanks again for your help with this.
