New Domains for CUCM

HollTel.com

Good Day All...

So this is the situation that Im facing with a client that I would love some assistance with.

My Client has had their CUCM for a number of years now and its working great. They have always had the Domain “123456.com” To use Jabber in the past you would put in your username + 123456.com and all was great. This work inside their network as well as outside their network.

Here’s where the help comes into play.

They recently purchased another company and are about to change their domain to “ABCDEF.com” on the outside and using “XYZ.corp” on the inside of their network.

That in itself is not an issue. What they are now doing is changing the structure of how their network works inside as well as outside. What they have asked me to do is this…

They would like me to use “ABC-Voip.com” inside and outside for a sign in with Jabber. But the phone system uses the LDAP server “XYZ.corp” to authenticate the users.

This is where I’m stuck. Can I use the “XYZ.corp” LDAP to authenticate the “ABC-Voip.com” inside and outside their network?

Thanks I very much appreciate the help.

if i can understand you clearly, the domain "ABC-Voip.com" exists
externally and internally.
the ldap is xyz.corp
Yes users can still use
ABC-Voip.com to login as long as the jabber can perform srv record
successfully..
I guess your cucm domain is xyz.corp. Create a forward lookup zone
for ABC-Voip.com and create srv record for ABC-Voip.com to point to
cucm@xyz.corp.
