No Ringback

We have a call flow of CUCM 7.1 IP phone --- GK controlled ICT --- GK -- matched default tech prefix ---- voice gateway --- QSIG trunk --- PBX --- destination phone .

Calls complete but with no ringback before called party picks up.  Debug q931 on the voice gateway with the QSIG trunks shows the call set up with progress indicator indicating ring back is sent be we don't hear it.  Any ideas appreciated!

Can you post a copy of your voice gateway with the QSIG PBX?  Typically it has something to do with the the Dial Peer confg, (adding a statement for ring back) or at the CUCM side making sure that Early Media offer (I think, cant recall) is checked.

Hi Tommer,

I've attached the config.  The two dial-peers we are hitting are:

!
dial-peer voice 130 pots
description Cisco to Nortel
numbering-type unknown
preference 1
destination-pattern [1-9].T
port 1/0/0:23
forward-digits all
prefix 900
!

!
dial-peer voice 2000 voip
description From Cisco GK
call-block translation-profile incoming Block
voice-class codec 1
voice-class h323 1
incoming called-number .
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
ip qos dscp cs3 signaling
!

Thanks,

Mike

You might want to check out the progress_ind commands, and "tone ringback alert-no-pi", at the following URL:

Yeah, that was the doc I was thinking of. I have some other notes in the

forums as well. I had the same setup. CUCM 7.x
