Presence IP Phone Messenger - Unable to view contacts

I have integrated Cisco Unified Presence 7.0 with CUCM 7.0 and successfully have all aspects of CUPC working.

On CUPS I have enabled the IP Phone Messenger service, and configured the appropriate Application userid and password.

On CUCM I have created the appropriate Application UserID, associated Handsets and made part of the Enable CTI Control of All Devices group.

I have also created a phone service with the URL http://<CUPS-IP-ADDRESS-HERE>:8081/ippm/default?name=#DEVICENAME#

and subscribed the relevant phones to this service.

Users are associated with both the Phone Device and the Line Appearance, and Primary Extension is configured in the user profile.

I am able to login using the PIN of the users successfully, however when I try and access the Contacts menu, I get "Requesting...." which attempts to load indefinitely. Eventually the request times out - but no error messages.

I manually added contacts via the Web User Options page, and confirmed that CUPC is working fine for these exact same users.

Has anyone experienced this behaviour before?

That's interesting since you can login to the service  your able to connect to the CUPS server  using HTTP so it's not blocked and CUPS is responding.  I would collect the Cisco Tomcat logs from the CUPS server to see what's going on internally on the CUPS server for the specific URL being requestef for contacts.  A packt capture between the phone and CUPS server would show you the requested URL too to start looking through the Cisco Tomcat logs.
