Hey guys,
i have a problem at one of our customers. They use sametime as chat client and we want to implement the sametime plugin to see phone presence and control the desk phone.
The Deskphone controll and also the voicemail integration works perfect, exept for the presence integration.
I´m configuring the CUPS Site, another technical guy installs the Notes site (because we dont know nothing about notes and sametime )
In CUPS, login with a Jabber Client works perfect, so i guess the presence site is fine. But with sametime plugin is wont work.
In sametime the username looks like this : Username/Domain/DE
In CUCM and Presence the Username looks like Username
I read that the user mapping could be the problem. But to be honest i dont really understand how it should look like.
So my question, does anybody know how this configuration should look like?
Is there anything that we have to configure at the CUPS? Or is it only a configuration in Sametime Plugin?
The Book Deploying Cisco Presence from Michael comes on Thursday, but it would be nice if the implementation would be done to this time

Hello,
with the sametime plugin version 8.6.2 i could get it to work by:
-"Sametime User ID Mapping" is set to "use LDAP Attirbute" - the attribute value is "uid"
-remove domain is not selected
-under LDAP config i did configure one of the Lotus Notes directory servers that can be queryed by LDAP
(Sername, Port 389, search base empty, display Attribute cn, Attirbute for Lookup cn, Directory Type for Sametime Server LDAP, use Attirbute as internal ID not marked)
The book is good, i got the trick from it
regards,
Ingo

Hello Ingo,
thanks for your reply.
Are the LDAP Configurations on the Sametime site? I guess the LDAP configuration in CUPS is just for the contact search right?
Best Regards
Daniel

No, i am only taking about the LDAP config in the Sametime plugin configuration tool.
I did not setup an LDAP connection in the presence server to that Lotus Notes LDAP server.
good luck,
Ingo

Thanks ingo.
Just fo me to know that the notes guy has to correct his configuration and not me
With Jabber everything could be so easy:D
