Query on CUCM migration from 8.5.1 to 10.5.1 using PCD

Hello Team,

We are migrating our Physical cluster (Pub & Sub) 8.5.1 SU2 to UCS 10.5.1 using Cisco PCD. We have installed PCD and discovered existing cluster to it. While performing migration task, can we proceed with Pub & Sub at same time or you want us to do one at a time. I need to know, when we start migrating from existing cluster to new cluster, it wont create any outage right??? Please make me understand these queries, so that we will have a clean migration.

Thanks Jaime, as per the table its direct migration, but I tried and I am getting error on PCD while exporting data  ' the selected server version was not found (or is not supported)' , 'failed to create platformconfig.xml file for node 227_X.X.X.X' , Export job for nod XXX failed. have you ever come across this error?

No. its a standalone cucm.

OK, then that's discarded.

Make sure the image is the right one, and that the MD5 is correct.

You can also try to do the job again, sometimes it initially fails, but another try is successful.

I came across the same error message in a PCD 11.5 Migration Task.

I was attempting to migrate from a CUCM10-5/IM&P10-5 to corresponding 11-5 VMs on to a new BE6S server. I am wondering if PCD 'does not support the BE6S' server platform? 

Will endeavour to read the release notes and Admin docs, it's probably buried there somewhere? Or it could be 'me' and a misconfiguration shomewhere, cos I nevur make mishtakes tyoping.

Figured it out.

11.5 is not yet supported in the Migrate/Upgrade Task (with PCD 11.5 at least, not yet..).

Please note that 11.5.2 is available supporting CSR 11.5.

And PCD 11.5(1) is under the CUCM11.0 download url, and 11.5(2) is not, HOWEVER the PCD 11.5(2) is under the 11.5(2) downloads url!

Thank you Chris. I've been running round in circles trying to find the download file for PCD so that I could migrate to 11.5!
