Hi,
We're going to be regenerating the self-signed certificates on our Call Managers that are currently configured as Session Managers.
I've regenerated certs before on our actual CUCM environment by following this guide: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/200199-CUCM-Certificate-Regeneration-Renewal-Pr.html and everything went ok. I was aware, during this process, you have to renew certs in a certain order in order to avoid issues in which phones cannot register back to CUCM.
However, the SME servers do not have any phones or cti points registered, they only have SIP trunks and translation patterns, etc. Is there any precaution or special considerations that anyone knows of for SMEs? Or, is it just as straight forward as carving out a maintenance period and regenerating the certs and restarting services?
Thank you,

With SME it's really noting to take into consideration. Just find a time window for when you can restart a few services depending on what certificate that your renewing. For details on how to renew certificates you can reference this document. Cisco UC Certificates Renewal Guide

Nothing special to take care of.
