I am still confuse with the following question related to Route pattern

1. Why Route Pattern requires

2. How Route pattern works in CUCM once they configured.

3. If Route patten not configured what will happen

Vijay,

Route patterns are created for call treatment.

route patterns match their routing tables and assign the end point depending upon the route list configured.

If they are not configured your external outbound calls would not work.

The SRND covers that under the dial plan chapter, I'd suggest you read it to understand how it works.

frugally , If you required to call destination DNs that are not listed in directory number database of your CUCM. THEN you need to configure route pattern.
