Sending a message to a Pub. Distr. List by dialing it's number from the AA?

Is it possible to send a message to a Public Distribution list by simply dialing it's number from the main auto-attendant??

I'm running Unity 4.0(5) with Domino integration.

I can send messages to a distribution list by entering in it's name via the TUI and within a users voicemail box by pressing "2" to create a message then entering in the DL's extension as a recipient.

Any way to do this simply by dialing a number??

The site that wants this wants to allow everyone access to the distribution lists so security is not a concern.

I've created a call handler that basically just goes to take the message and the recipient is the global address list. But I can't use the same extension when I do this! I would require 2 different extensions if I want to utilize both methods (from within a users voicemail box TUI, or from the main AA.

No, you can't dial a distribution list extension number directly from the AA - the ID's on public distribution lists are used only for addressing by ID for subscribers. What you have setup with call handlers would be the only way to go about this.
