I have two Cisco Call Manager servers in two different locations which are set up to be failovers for each other and in the last few weeks, one of my servers has been having hardware issues. When the server drops all the phones and voicemails work fine but the SIP trunk in the location where the failure happens does not accept incoming calls. When you try calling the number it rings for a while and then fast beeps. Is there a way to make this SIP trunk failover to the second server. I am by no means an expert CallManager but I checked the SIP trunk and Run On All Active Unified CM Nodes is checked. Is this something that has to be configured on the router at the location of the failure or is there something I am missing in Call Manager.
Thanks for the help

Hi,
Do you have SIP Options Ping enabled on your SIP trunk(s)?
If not, then that's almost for sure the root cause of your issue. Take a look here for details about how to set it up: https://community.cisco.com/t5/collaboration-voice-and-video/how-to-enable-sip-options-ping-feature-on-a-sip-trunk/ta-p/3160559.
