SMTP Address not generated for AD account

Hi

I'm using Unity 4.0(3)sr1 Voicemail only with local Exchange 2000 Server.

The server is in production for over 2 years now and we didn't has any problems so far.

Today I've added another batch of users and realised that no SMTP addresses were generated anymore.

I found that the SMTP Address of the AD account was missing and therefore the SMTPAddress field in UnityDB was empty as well.

To add the subscribers we used the Unity Bulk Add tool as we did before.

I would be grateful for any hint why this should happen.

Cheers

Roger

You need to debug your Recipient Update Service (RUS) in Exchange - this is the guy that creates the actual mailbox when you create a user in AD (Unity is, of course, not involved in this process). Any number of problems can bite you with the RUS - if you search MSDN you'll find some troubleshooting docs for common problems to run down.
