Hello,

The models of Cisco Unified IP Phones you mentioned, while SIP, do not support 3rd party call control systems such as Asterisk and Broadsoft.

Kirk,

Can you point me to the documentaion for the Cisco 7942g not working with Broadsoft? I have been looking with no luck.

Thanks,

Richard

Hello Richard,

The written datasheet for the 7942G does not reflect support for third-party call control: It is here and the pertinent section copied directly below:  http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/phones/ps379/ps8535/product_data_sheet0900aecd8069bb68.html

Call Control Compatibility

Supported in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Versions 4.1(3)sr5b, 4.2(3)sr2b, 4.3(1), 5.1.1(b), 5.1(2), 6.0(1) and greater

Supported in Cisco Unified Communications Express and SRST Version 4.1

The only endpoints in the 7900 Series that Cisco supported on 3PCC were the 7940 and 7960 which are EOL.

For Cisco endpoints that support third party call control, the Cisco SPA 300 & 500 Series are available.
