Switch upgrades require CER updates ?

Hi,

We are refreshing lot of switches with different models , and at few places we are upgrading with same Chassis type. ( 6506  to 6506E ) . All  the  IP information and  VLAN information remains same.

Do we have to refresh Switch information in the CER server ? Or CER would be able to rediscover the new switches based on  IP and update its  port information ?

We have CER 8.X version.

CER will be able to do the rediscover of switches based on the ip adderss and snmp string!!
