Hello, All,
I am trying to find out the Cisco recommended UCS BIOS setting for UC on UCS deployment. Should I turn on Hyper-threading for ESXi if the CPU supports it?
Is there a document just to talk about any BIOS/setup recommendation setting specifically for UC on UCS deployment?
Thanks,

I am also curious on what is recommended in regards to hyper-threading for UCS. Does anyone have any information.

Cisco's docwiki site has everything you need to know about UC on UCS.
The core UC site is here: http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Unified_Communications_in_a_Virtualized_Environment
The answer to your question about hyper-threading can be found here: http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/UC_Virtualization_Supported_Hardware#Processors_.2F_CPUs
Hyper-threading on the CPU should be enabled when available, but the resulting Logical Cores do not change UC app rules. UC rules are based on 1:1 mapping of physical cores to virtual cores, not Logical Cores to virtual cores.

Hi,
Ok then, does it mean that the additional virtual cores (when enabling HT) seen by ESXi shouldn't be mapped with UC Apps? One more, how do you make the difference between a virtual core mapped to a Physical Core and a virtual core mapped on a Logical core in ESX ?
