Hi,
We have the old EoL Cisco MCS servers and upgrading to CSR 10.5 or 11. We have active SWSS and would like to get the BE6K. Do we contact Cisco licensing to obtain new licenses once we build the PLM, how exactly does this process work.
Thanks
Nki

Yes, basically you stand up your 10.5 server and you will need to migrate over. Licensing shouldn't change if you are already on ELM, at least not that I know of. It should be a simple re-host from the hash file of the PLM when bringing your licensing over.

If you want to convert your old DLUs over to the PLM you will need to contact Cisco licensing and get an accurate count of what will be brought over. I believe a TAC case can be made for this as well. Make sure any unused DLU PAK certificates are also brought to their attention. Once you migrate across, you should have a new license file to import into PLM validating your CUCM/Unity Connection.
If you account is tied to your contract, you can also opt to just login from PLM and pull everything in once all licensing is finalized. Please make sure that your license counts are 100% accurate at the end, Cisco does and and will not redo the licensing once you agree to everything.

Thanks Brandon,
I forgot to mention I am running CUCM 9.1.2 on the MCS with CUWL licensing on the ELM. It looks like I will be generating a new license request from the PLM to Cisco licensing to issue, right?
