Hi
I want to integrate Unity Connection with Hosted exchange (Office 365) but no single inbox. I understand that if I need single inbox I may need Unity Connection to sit on DMZ and have public IP for notifications to work properly.
If I just need to send email notifications about Voicemail to user mail box of the hosted exchange, whats the procedure?
Just set the smarthost as hosted exchange IP and set user notification mail address? will this work?
any help is appreciated
thanks and regards

Untrue. Where did you see this documented?

You would use the Message Actions under the mailbox and set it to Accept and Relay. Unity Connection uses unuthenticated SMTP Relay when sending email. The Exchange evnironmnet must accept unuthenticated SMTP relay from the CXN server IP addresses. The customers I have worked with who are on Office 365 tell me they have kept an Exchange server (I think) inside the firewall for exactly this purpose. Apparently you can have a hybrid deployment or something.
