I have a customer with existing UC 7.1 users imported from the CM7 database.
The customer wants to go to LDAP (AD).
Is there a way to "migrate" the existing UC users to their LDAP user without having to re-enroll everyone?
I beleive that if I integrate CCM with LDAP 1st, then I will just have a new batch of users that I can import into UC.
Thanks
Dave

Hi David,
You can follow this link to LDAP enabled the existing users.

Thanks, I had read that as "mixing" LDAP users and manually created users.
I'm glad to hear you can change existing to LDAP.
Do you know if you just need to make the username the same, or somehow map it in the CSV file?
The doc doesn't seem to say.
Thanks Again

Here is a followup for others with this question.
The site had users in UC synced with CCM.
CCM users were 1st Initial+Lastname(jsmith)
AD was first.last(john.smith)
We had to manually change the user names in CCM to match AD. Then sync UC.
Now all names match AD/LDAP.
Now LDAP import re-uses the existing accts on CCM and UC.
There doesnt appear to be a way to bulk admin it.

That is correct. This is why its critical to create user IDS in CUCM identical to LDAP for future LDAP configurations to sync with AD. If the IDs are different, it will blow the account.
But i did notice this one day. I sync with AD and had a few accounts that were "orphaned" in CUC. I could relink the the account in CUC to a different AD account. Seemed to work, but have not tried again (or had a chance to)
