I am performing a Unity re-installation because the existing server's c:\ drive
is running low in disk space. The Unity software version 4.0(4).
The DiRT backup and restore procedure highlighted to use the same version of
DiRT backup and DiRT restore utility.
When we access the official ciscounitytools website, I noticed the
DiRT backup version is 1.0.122, DiRT restore version is 1.1.19, can we use different DiRT version to backup and restore the Unity server ?

The backup and restore are versioned seperately - the restore has been updated many, many more times since that's where all the difficult impact of OS and other Env. changes impact the process - the backup has been pretty stable for a while.
Backups from any version of 1.0.x of DiRT can be restored with andy 1.x version of restore - we haven't had to change any of the fundamental outputs of the backup in some time.

as you said the docs stated, it is recommended to use the same version for both backup and restore.
haven't tried two different so not sure of any issues that may arise.
