upgrade cups7.1 to 8.5(2)

Hi ;

try to upgrade the current cups server from 7.1 to latest 8.5(2). When i try to download cups 8.5(2) from cisco.com. It only available for 8.x version upgrade to 8.5(2), as per links below ;

Where to get the software for 7.x upgrade to 8.5(2) ? or can i still use that software as per links. Pls advice. Thanks.

I have read this website. But my question is where can i download the software for "upgrade cups 7.x to cups 8.5(2) ?

The software download from cisco.com only have ;

Cisco Unified Presence 8.5(2) part 1 of 2 - For upgrade from 8.0(x)

Can i use this software for this upgrade ? I don't see any software for "upgrade from cups 7.x to cups 8.5(2)". Pls advice. Thanks.

You cannot download it anywhere, that's precisely what's explained in the link:

Upgrades from Release 7.0(x) to Release 8.5(x) require the UCSInstall_CUP_*.sgn.iso file.

Perform these steps to order the "Installation and Upgrade (7.0(x) to 8.5(x))" upgrade DVD and acquire the .iso file as part of your Cisco Unified Presence order:

1. Go to http://www.cisco.com/upgrade.

2. Enter your software contract number.

3. Select the CUP7-8-5-U-K9= option to order. If you do not see the CUP7-8-5-U-K9= option, contact your Cisco Account Team and/or Reseller to resolve your Contract issue.

4. Install the "Installation and Upgrade (7.0(x) to 8.5(x))" upgrade DVD that Cisco provides.

The available file you´re asking about is only useful if you're already on a 8.X release.

The file you need is only on physical media, that's why you need to order it.
