Hi,
I want to upgrade unity 3.1 (~500 users) to 4.0x.
1) First, i need do to a fresh install tof unity with the old data. I want to use Dirt to save data.
- backup data with Dirt
- install unity 3.1 platform + restore with the backup done with Dirt
- update all software and license : exchange 2K3, Sql server and Unity
Dirt is not recommended with more than 200 users, which kind of problem can i have in this case?
2) I want to do a test of upgrade with another hardware, to get a unity 4.0x license, the Mac address of the network adaptator is require but this hardware is not the final i plain to use.
Can i do another license request with new
Mac address and obtain new license file?
Thanks.

1) If this is vm only integration, Exchange 2003 is not supported and not licensed for Unity. Exchange 2003 also cannot be installed on the same server as Unity. If you are licensed for Unified Messaging, Exchange 2000 cannot be upgraded while you are still running Unity 3.1(5). You will have at least upgrade to unity 4.0(3) before you upgrade Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003.
2) Contact your Cisco SE for a temporary license that expires after x-number of days.

1) Sorry for this mistake, this his only a vm integration with exchange and upgrade guide give all information to upgrade.
Another question, if i want to upgrade Unity 4.0X vm with exchange to Unity 4.0X UM with Lotus notes, which kind of license i must buy ? Customer already have Lotus Notes software in use.
I know all data will be lost, i only can export/import all users list.
Thanks.
