Hello Guys,
We are upgrading the VMware on existing UCS "UCSC-C220-M3SBE" TRC 2 Current version of VMWare is ESXi 5.5.0,2068190
with Datastore: VMFS5.
Applications running on the servers are below
CUCM System version: 11.5.1.10000-6
Cisco Unity Connection version: 11.5.1.11900-26
As per virtualization link: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/uc_system/virtualization/virtualization-cisco-unified-communications-manager.html#v11.5
EXSI 6.5 with VMFS5 is supported with CUCM above version, but i don't under the word "Does not apply to ESXi version upgrades."
Note: we are not upgrading the CUCM, just Vmware upgrade.
Regards
Faisal Akbar

Hi,
If you are doing fresh install of CUCM version 11.5 on ESXi 6.5 (VMFS5 or 6) then it is recommended to use minimum OVA file version cucm_11.5_vmv8_v1.1.ova otherwise cucm_11.5_vmv8_v1.1.ova does not apply.

Yes, you can use ESXi 6.5 with VMFS 5. For VMware foundation or Hypervisor license upgrade, you need to work with Cisco Licensing team.
