Active users in Presence server

Hello ,

I have issue with Presence server .

when I open Presence Redundancy Group configuration in CUCM,

I got error: "[4562] error retrieving active users from the IM and Presence server".

In one of the server I didn't see active users,only Assigned Users.

The status of server  normal .

I try to reboot server but It did not solve the problem.

My version of CUCM 10.5.2.2000-1.

My version of Presence 10.5.2.20000-1

any idea?

Hi,

This issue occurs when either of  IMP Server is down.

In IMP , under Presence Topology --Default CUPSubcluster. What is Node State of Server?

Do check for alerts  and SRM service in IMP Administration on Top Right.

what is the status of dbreplication and utils ha status in IMP ?

The replication is Good (2).

Hi,

what is "Enable Automatic Fallback " parameter  in IMP Administration --service Parameter ---Presence Server [x.x.x.x] ----SRM (active) set to ?

I was reading the DOC which says that after 30 minutes of recovery of IMP node, all users are moved.

Hi , 

The SRM set to false . 

I attached a picture of the current status . 

You can see the error on the  top left corner , right now all of the user are working on 1 sever  beacuse when we try to move them to the seconed server I see 0 active useres 

click on Fallback TAB as appearing in snapshot and check.

When I click one fallback I still see 0 active users . 

can u share the snapshot again?

In IMP administration, under Enterprise Parameters ---user management parameters , User Assignment Mode for Presence server is configured as what [Balanced/Active-Standby]?

Balanced . 

I don't want to activate the fallback right now because it's working hours but I tried to do it off hours and I got status normal for both servers . The problem was that for the seconed server  activate users was zero . 

Is Cisco Server Recovery Manager working in both IMP servers ?

Edit: Pls ignore below, as it is already confirmed by you :-)

Make sure that "User Assignment Mode for Presence Server Enterprise Parameter setting" is set to Balanced mode (default). This assigns users equally to each node in the presence redundancy group and attempts to balance the total number of users equally across each node.

It seems that your second IMP  node stopped due to any issue but services are stopped .That is the reason it is showing as IDLE.

Can u Disable HA in CUCM under Presence Redundancy group and restart the SRM services on second node by taking maintenance  window?

After this, enable HA again
