Hi,
I am trying to configure CUPS 8.0 to connect to Exchange 2008 to retrieve calendar information as detailed in the integration note at the link below:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cups/8_0/english/integration_notes/ExchInt.html
I have successfully completed everything up to the section Installing the CA on Windows Server 2008 but am now running into problems.
When I run the Role Services Wizard I get options to install Certificate Authority and Certificate Authority Web Enrollment but not Online Responder.
Can anyone advise why this would be the case?
It may or may not be relevant but the server that the customer has told me to install the CA on is a domain controller - could this be the issue?

The server is running Windows Server 2008 Standard and according to the Microsoft doc at the link below this does not support the Online Responder service.

Could the problem be that I need a server running Windows Server 2008 Enterprise?

James,
Not that this solves your problem, but I suspect you don't see the Online Responder option because the Online Responder service is not loaded. That is just my WAG. See this link:

HTH.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the response. The first paragraph of the document you linked to states:
An Online Responder can be installed on any computer running Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter, Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, or Windows Server 2008 Datacenter. The certificate revocation data can come from a certification authority (CA) on a computer running Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, or from a non-Microsoft CA.
It seems that this confirms my findings that the Online Responder is not supported on Windows Server 2008 Standard. It seems a bit crazy to have to buy a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise license just for this functionality but that seems to only "official" option that will work.
I also found some mention of a Microsoft utility called "makecert" that can be used to generate certificates. It is positioned as a testing tool but it seems that some people are using the certificates generated by it to link CUPS and Exchange in production networks. I have ordered Michael's book - see URL below - which covers using makecert so that may resolve the issue but I would be interested in other comments and feedback on the use of certificates.
