Automating routine tasks

           Greetings community,

I was looking for a way to automate routine tasks through CLI or an automated script, more spcifically Alerting name for Directory numbers. Copy pasting 50 Alerting names per day is such a waste of time and my talents   Let me know if you know how.

Can you be more specific on what you are doing that you would like to automate?

If it is simply CUCM phone changes, you have couple of options:

1. use BAT

2. Use SQL via CLI, cisco documents all DB schema guides for every CUCM version

3. develop AXL based tool that pushes those SQL queries

The last 2 will obviously require some basic SQL skills.
