Caller ID alerting name not updating

Hello,

Have a Publisher/Subscriber CCM 6.1 and I've redeployed two 7971 phones and can't get their internal caller ID names to update correctly. I've changed the Alerting field in the Extension page and the old names are nowhere to be found in CCM. I even deleted and re-added the device (but not the number.)

I've done a hard reset on the phones.

I've never had an issue with this!

Thanks

Hi there,

Lets say the DN for the employee was 4444, go to the Route Plan Report

and search > Unassigned DN's. Find 4444 and delete it here as well. CLID info

can be stored here even though the phone/device was removed.

Also, look for any shared line appearances and make sure the changes have

been done there as well.

Cheers!

Thanks Rob, but the Route Plan Report had it the same and neither are in any Shared Lines.

Arrgh, frustrating.

Just to be sure...that was the unassigned DN portion of the route plan report??

Also, down towards the bottom of the DN config page did you change these?

Display text for a line ap

These exts didn't show up in a search for Unassigned DN. When I took that filter off, and searched the whole Route Plan the numbers were there.

And here is where i have set the internal caller id info a million times and reset/restart a million times

Thank you for your time on this

Hi there,

This may be a dumb question but were the names entered

at the top of the DN page as well?

Hi there,

I agree/facepalm!!

This would certainly indicate a replication problem, so make sure to keep

an eye on things. But at least you got this working

Cheers!

Well i have changed another existing phone's Caller ID name and it updated just fine. This may have been an issue where i had a recent network change, with my time server being changed. So the Publisher i think wasn't getting time synced?

Not sure, but that's fixed and this appears to be replicating correctly now.
