Caller ID issue

Hello,

Am running CM 4.2.

GSM calls are made via the Quescom GSM gateway.The quescom is registered as an H323 gateway.

Am able to make calls through the gateway without any problem.

The issue is the number is not displayed on the far end.The quescom is configured to send caller id.

All my othe configurations seem okay.

Anyone who's had such a problem before,how was it resolved.

Are there any configurations that are to be made on the callmanager?

Hi!

Get a debug isdn q931 and see if the provider is sending the caller-id via the Facility IE, if that's the case check this

bug: CSCdz72442 H225 CONNECT message does not pass Display IE

Symptom:

The name of the called party may not show up on an IP phone.

Condition:

This may happen when the called party on the PSTN answers a call, the router

receives a CONNECT message with the Display IE in Codeset 6. The router does

not send the Display IE in the H225 CONNECT message.

Workaround:

Could use MGCP or a different switchtype such as QSIG if possible.
