cannot add the gatekeeper to CUCM9

I have CIsco 2921 currently acting as a Voice gateway ... I want to use it as a gatekeeper as well... however when I go to the CUCM9, since its already added as a gateway with its IP address, when I try to add the same IP address as a gatekeeper it did not allow me...  is there a way for me to add this device as a gatekeeper as well?  As this device is using as a gateway and gatekeeper function

Description

Symptom:

When trying to configure an H.323 gateway that is also configured as a gatekeeper, you get the
message "The Device Name is not unique"

Codition:

Trying to configure the same IP address for a gateway and gatekeeper

Workaround:

None

There are some workarounds however by using local dns resolution for the gk endpoint (which resolves to the same ip address)

You could bind one to loopback address and one to Gi interface.

it didnt allow me, even I try to bind it with the different IP, it has the below error mesasage:

Bind IP Address configured. Please remove before reconfiguring

Hi.

VG gives you that error, because you have already bound it to another interface,

Remove the bind command from that interface and add it to a loopback as Chris (+5) suggested
