Hi,
A customer has requested rehoming Unity to exchange 2003 from 5.5
Currently the Unity server is not in the same domain as the exchange server - can it be moved to the new domain in the normal MS method?
(both 5.5. and 2003 are in same site and main coprrate domain - Unity is in its own, with full trusts)
I can't see any specific procedure for moving the Unity server to a new domain - so it's either ok or not supproted at all!
The user accounts are all in the main domain, the current service accounts are from the Unity doamin, but trusted in the main domain, and will be replaced by new accounts once Unity is pointed at ex2k3
If not, any process other then the MS one?
many thanks in advance

It's not supported at all because we haven't tested it. I know some customers have done it in the past but if something were to go wrong you woundn't be able to contact TAC for support.
The only supported way to do this would be to use DiRT and to reinstall Unity.
Hope this helps...

Thanks Keith,
Are there any issues with leaving the server in it's existing domain?
TIA
