Cisco Cube license

Hi expert

Can someone give a explanation about what is Cisco Cube license in plain English.

Why do we need it? What situation we need it?  What happened if we dont have that kind of license?

IN short, CUBE licensing is generally needed for each SIP Trunk session to a service provider. Its a bit more than that overall, but that is the base idea.

Thanks for your reply.

What I understand is 

We need Cube license if we use internet connection from service provider.

No need to use the license if we use analog, T1/E1 and MPLS connection.

Is my understanding correct?

Correct, any copper (T1/E1) or WAN (MPLS/VPN) based connection should not require a CUBE session license.

It is needed when your inbound and outbound dial-peers are all voip. Not a mix of pots and voip.
