Hello!  I have a user trying to forward a voice message to another extension but when he tries gets the message:  "Your call cannot be completed as dialed".  Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Is he entering the user's extension or name when attempting to forward in Unity Connection?

Hi Chris, this is correct, the user is entering a user's extension when attempting to forward a voice message in Unity Connection.

Are you sure you are being prompted for extension and not name as name is the default?

If so, make sure the CSS of the user has access to the partition of the party he/she is trying to transfer to.

Hi Eve,

How is the user forwarding a message?

1. Is the user A calling the User B first and on no answer/busy/forward all it goes to voice mail? If thats the case then make sure the user B has a voice mail profile assigned to it and forward to voice mail checkbox checked on the DN with correct call forward css.

2. Is he doing a * dialing to users's mailbox directly? For example, if 1000 wants to leave a message for 2000, then user would dial *2000 and which will match a CTI RP/port which you would have created with extension *XXXX and call forward all set to Voice mail. If this is the case then you need to make sure the voice mail profile assigned to the CTI DN has wildcard set correctly (XXXX is using 4 digit extension) and call forward all voice mail checked with correct call forward CSS.
