Cisco Unity Voice-Mail Only

I'm installing Cisco Unity Voice-Mail Only. I know with Unified you need exchange. With voicemail only do still need exchange and does it need to be in a domain. If it doesn't need exchange, were can i find the documentation for installing voicemail only.

Unity in vm-only still needs exchange. Usually, the Unity server has exchange and W2k active directory on the same server.
