Click to Call 8.0 Connection Issues

Hello All,

We are having an issue with the Outlook widget click to call 8.0 no longer working after upgrading to exchange 2010.  The error is that the application can't connect.  There is a web dialer service error, it says it can't be found.  I'am not too familiar with click to connect but could the exchange upgrade have something to do with this?  The call manager is 7.x CUCMBE  This happened after the exchange upgrade.  Thanks

Jason

Hi Jason,

As far as I am aware the Exchange 2010 upgrade should not cause this issue.

Here are some things to quickly check.

1) Confirm that the Web dialer service is running. You can check this

https:///webdialer/Webdialer

2) Did you recently enable any Web proxies? You will need to create an exception for this

Bypassing the Proxy Server

Procedure

Step 1 Select Start > Control Panel > Internet Options.

Step 2 Select the Connections tab, then select LAN Settings.

Step 3 Select Bypass proxy server for local addresses.

Step 4 Select Advanced.

Step 5 Enter the IP address or hostname of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager server in the Exceptions field.

Step 6 Select OK.

You can refer to this.

Hope this helps

Click to call is a OCS/Presence feature not a Exchange 2010 Feature.

Are you using OCS or Presence?

Have you tried restarting the web dialer service in CUCM?

Hope this helps, please rate if so.

Justin
