It is possible for "night-service bell" to be configured on both the ephone and ephone-dn for an extension.
A fault i have in is night service not ringing although night service is showing on the extns that should be the ones that actually called. When i check the config approx 8 of the phones have nigh-service bell configured on the ephone and ephone-dn which explains why they are all seeing night-service on their screens.. the main i/c extension has night-service bell configured on the ephone-dn only as I would expect.
My question is this ..
Even though it is possible to do this , will it work? won't the extns have some interaction issues being both the designated night service extn and the night service phone
ie call i/c to the reception is passed to the night service phones, these are also designated night service extensions etc.
It is possibly a simple yes or no answer but i can't find any info in cisco documentation.
