Hello all, I hope I can get some assistant please.
I am supporting a customer with a 2900 router version 15.6(2) running CME 11.0.
For the past 4 weeks now we have had intermittent call drop outs and inability to make or receive external calls. The external connect is ISDN and we have 3 BRI WICs installed.
The symptoms I have seen trying to debug the issue are when running show isdn memory:
NGS-AUS-PABX#sh isdn mem

The LIF timers and PRIM_BTYPE numbers continue to increase with the error handle_l2d_srq_mail: Layer 1 inactive being recorded while q921 is on. When the PRIM_BTYPE reaches the limit to symptoms of the problem occur.
I have also noticed that if I run show isdn status the questionable ISDN interface fluctuates between:
Layer 1 Status:
ACTIVE
Layer 2 Status:
TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
and:
Layer 1 Status:
ACTIVE
Layer 2 Status:
TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = AWAITING_ESTABLISHMENT
I have contacted the Telco and they advise the issue is not their infrastructure.
Hope someone can help please.
Really struggling to resolve this if someone can please assist.
