We do alot of deployments where a user will not have a DN attached to a phone device (SEP etc)
A user will have a device profile (and a CSF, TCT, TAB etc.) and will EM to login and use the phone. There is no logout timeout on EM so the handset just become their own until they move again. Seems pretty normal deployment amongst partners around here.
When using the new Attendant Consoles though the operator must only use a device (SEP) to allow CTI to work. Don;t like this, but have to live with it.
However when displaying the directory to see the BLF status, unless the other users are directly assigned to SEP devices the status does not appear. On version 8X of CUAxC, you could edit the DB and instruct the system to search for EM profile instead of SEP ones.
Is there a way to do this on the new V10 consoles? I dont want to revert all users to have a fixed DN config on SEP devices.
