CUC v9.x, Outlook 2010, UM, and Junk Mail

Hi!

We recently migrated from Unity to CUC v9.x and notice that some of our VM messages with Single Inbox are going to user's Junk Mail folders in Outlook 2010.

We attempted to add the sender to a trusted list, but because the address is "user@unityserver" it does not work. Is the only recourse here to add ".local" or ".something" to the SMTP domain on the CUC server so that Outlook will allow that "domain" to be added to the "not junk" domain? Anyone else have had similar issue? Please advise. Thank you!

Hello Ben,

Here is an extract from the Unified Messaging Guide:

22. If Connection voice messages are automatically being moved to the Outlook Junk Items folder:

Change the Outlook configuration to add the sender of the voice message or the sender's domain to the safe sender's list. For more information, see Outlook Help.

Regards,

Da^v^iD

FYI, in order to do that you need to add ".local" or another domain suffix to the SMTP domain in CUC in order to do that. In Outlook, simply using the server name "unityconnection", etc; is not permitted, it needs to have a domain suffix.
