CUCIMOC - Invalid CCMCIP authentication server configuration

Hi,

I've been trying to get CUCIMOC working on a test machine but i keep getting the error "Unknown Error. [DeviceAdaptorInitializationFailed] Invalid CCMCIP authentication server configuration. [1200].

Also, the server status has:

Server Address: blank

Server Port: blank

Server Protocol: blank

Status: Disconnected

Also attached is the problem report.

Call Manager Version: 7.1.5.3

CUCIMOC Version: 7.1.4

Communicator 2007 R2 version: 3.5.6907.225

A CSF device has been set up on the call manager and my userID assigned to it.

hi  Shay,

Here are some points you can check...

+ In CUCM Serviceability > Tools > Network Services, do you have Cisco

CallManager Cisco IP Phone (CCMCIP) service active and running?

+ In your CUCM cluster, are you using CTL lists?

+ In CUCM, did you complete the steps in the URL link below:

+ On your MOC, can you see the conversation pane?;

+ Between your MOC/OCS and CUCM, do you have a firewall?. If so, make sure

that you are not blocking the traffic shown in the URL link below: HTTP,

To answer your points:

  • I unfortunately don't have access to the serviceability page, i will have to contact someone from Telstra to have a look, but i would have thought they'd have set this up.

+ In your CUCM cluster, are you using CTL lists?

  • Unsure if we are using these, will have to confirm.

+ In CUCM, did you complete the steps in the URL link below:

  • Yes, telstra completed these steps. we have integrated with AD and that is working fine as well as having created a CSF

+ On your MOC, can you see the conversation pane?;

  • I am able to see the conversation pane, but many of the items are blanked out and when i hover over them, it says "Selected Device Unavailable. Select the title menu bar button. The select Tools > select device for conversation pane." when i do this the select softphone device is empty.

  • our firewall is not blocking that traffic.

Shay,

Just one other stupid thing to try really quick.  I see that in your configuration the CCMCIP server 1 and server 2 match.  Try either making the second server point to your .5 node or just remove the IP completely from this server.  I know the CUPS server implicitely prevents you from configuring the same CCMCIP IP so that might mean CUCIMOC also has the same issue.

Additionally I see the following in the logs:

2011-08-31 08:49:47,565 INFO  [pool-25-thread-1] [CCMCIPProvider] [CCMCIPProviderImpl.setAdminConfigData(167)] - Admin configuration data was null at this point.  Continuing and waiting for update of data.

I would ensure that the user you are testing with has the correct permissions to read the registry values.  I would suggest that you manually navigate to the Client Service Framework folder and ensure the user has read / write permissions to this location.  Also try closing CUCIWatcher.exe and killing the CUCSF.exe / CUCIMOC.exe processes.  Then manually start CUCIMOC and run it as an administrator to see if that makes any difference.

Hi Jason,

I did notice that i'd put the same IP in CCMCIP server 1 and 2, i have since changed that but i'm still getting the same errors.

I had a look at the permissions on the registry using my admin account (we have disabled access to registry for normal users through group policy) and for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER keys it only has admins and my admin account (is that because i'm running regedit with my admin account?)

I tried adding users to all the keys anyway and it didn't change.

i tried closing those processes and running CUCIMOC under my admin account and it just crashes every time.

Issue has been resolved

For everyone's information, to get it working i got it working through group policy.

I originally tried doing it manually because i thought it would be less complicated if i just created the keys myself.

Since we have a GP that disables access to regedit for our normal users, i was doing it on my admin account, which was just creating the keys in that account since it was for current users, i hadn't really thought it through. Turns out i made more work for myself.
