Hello to every one....

I'm a data guy and bit of experiences in voice.

Currently i have cucm 5.0 running on MCS7825 now we plan to go cucm 9.X in new server with old backup. After 9.x installed in new box, old backup can fit and runn without any manual configurations?  (dial plan, phone css & partition DP,region....)

Before pushing the back up what are all things i need to look in too.

Please check the following link for upgrade related tasks

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/elmuserguide/9_1_1/license_migration/CUCM_BK_CBF8B56A_00_cucm-license-upgrade-guide_chapter_00.html

There are software and hardware compatibility considerations. For data, yes the data will be preserved if the correct process is followed as per the upgrade guide.

Please note that a backup can only be restored on the same version of cucm.

Please revert if you have any specific questions after going through the above link.
