CUCM 7.1 road map

Hi,

Whats the road map for CUCM 7.1?

There is no EoS statement against this release train but the last update 7.1(5) was April 2010.

I assume that the natural upgrade is to go to 8.5 or 8.6, but why hasn't 7.1 been EoS?

I'm in a situation where I have a customer on 7.1 and they won't upgrade to 8.x because their release is still in support - but for how long? the customer also wants to expand the cluster, so going to a later release would make more sense as it would be supportable for longer.

There will be an End-of-Sale announcement posted later this week for CUCM 7.1.  We will continue to sell CUCM 7.1 until June 2012.  I would recommend moving to the 8.6 release to get them to the release with the longest remaining life.
