Hi,
Just wanna ask what is the safest way of upgrading Cisco Communications Manager 8.6.2 to 10.x or 11.x and Cisco Unified Presence 8.5.4 to 10.x or 11.x.
Current setup: All in virtual machines
CUCM: Publisher and Subscriber version 8.6.2.20000-2
CUP: Publisher only version 8.5.4.10000-16
Upgrade version is 10.x or 11.x
Best Regards,

Hi Manish,
Thank you for the information. Just a question, since the disk requirement for 10.x is 110 GB if the existing disk capacity is lesser than the required disk requirement for 10.x. Do I need to create another virtual machine or increasing the disk from the existing VM will do?
Regards,
Arvie

Hi Arvie,
You will need to reinstall the VM with new vdisk requirements and restore the backup.

What is the best way?
Upgrade first CUCM and switch to new version then upgrade CUP then switch to new version or upgrade first CUCM without switching to new version then upgrade CUP without switching to new version. After CUP Upgrade, switch CUCM to new version then switch CUP to new version.
