CUCM PUB 12.5 Installation stuck on black screen

Hi There,

We are trying to install CUCM PUB 12.5 and we are struck on the black blank screen from past two hours. we can wee RAM is being utilized 100% and CPU is around 20%. Is this normal? If yes, how long we have to wait until this black screen is no more?

This black screen came after we have entered the required information in the wizard and after files are copied.

Left click the mouse while the pointer is on black  screen and press arrow key. If nothing comes,  That's not normal...I would suggest to Redo the installation...

Is it really stuck, or has the console window just gone into idle state? Because if you don't press any key for some minutes, the screen of the console just goes black.

What happens if you click into the console window and press any key (e.g. arrow key)?

Thanks for your replies guys. It took 3 hours(black screen) and then the installation was completed successfully.

That’s normal then, installation was happening in the back end.

You need to enter to console and use arrow key in such situation.
