CUCM Sub Node - Backup Restore

Hi Team,

Quick question. As my LAB is not accessible today, I would like to have your help here.

I need to re-build 1 CUCM sub node and add into existing cluster. Once this server is built and part of the cluster.

How can I restore the backup only for this Sub node? Cisco's official documentation made me little bit confused.

CUCM:11.5

Thank you.

In the DRS restore wizard you can select the node that you'd want to restore.

What I Understood  you are trying to add a new sub from some backup.  Why do you need to restore the backup for this scenario. if its only sub, you can do the below.

If this node  was a part  of the  cluster remove it  and add it again. then start the installation of the sub.

Hi,

Node must be re-build with higher hardware capacity. Existing node is too old and we cannot increase the hardware. We have confirmed this with TAC a couple of weeks ago. We have been planning to power off & increase the RAM, HDD etc but unable so only option is rebuild and restore the backup

would you mind explaining your setup and scenario which you are trying to achieve  in details.
