CUCM upgrade to 9.1.(1a) from 8.6.2(a)

Hi All,

We planned to do the upgrade from 8.6.2a to 9.1.1a . As per the Cisco upgrade guide it's mentioned as L2 upgrade also"there will be temporary outage while install the patch on the inactive partition. Outage size is depends on the database size".

Just want to know what kind of outage will happen during the patch update to cucm ?

The comment about the temporary outage only applies to the Refresh Upgrade (RU) type, which is not the case for an upgrade from 8.6.2(a) to 9.1.1(a).

I believe that statement has been corrected in the latest upgrade guide.
