Hello,
I have an issue with CUCM , I am getting rtmt alert for code yellow.
From Fri No19 10:22:54 EST 2015 to Fri Nov 20 10:25:24 EST 2015 on node 10.22.8.13, there are 1 CodeYellowEntry alarm(s) and 1 CodeYellowExit alarm(s) received.
On Fri Nov 19 10:25:11 EST 2015, the last CodeYellowEntry alarm generated:
AverageDelay : 45
EntryLatency : 20
ExitLatency : 8
SampleSize : 10
TotalCodeYellowEntry : 37
HighPriorityQueueDepth : 0
NormalPriorityQueueDepth : 14
LowPriorityQueueDepth : 72
AppID : Cisco CallManager
ClusterID : StandAloneCluster
NodeID : CUCMSUB02
TimeStamp : Fri Nov 20 10:25:11 EST 2015
Could you let me know the reason. I have verified the CPU usage an it is 70%.
regards
Sathya

Code yellow implies call throttling which allows CUCM to automatically throttle/deny new call attempts when it determines that various factors, such as heavy call activity, low CPU availability to CUCM, could result in a potential delay to dial tone (the interval users experience from going off hook until they receive dial tone).
Call throttling occurs automatically when cucm determines such conditions to be present and exits throttling automatically when such conditions are alleviated.
You can check the application logs for the said time which would give you the information about the Latency in call, average delay etc , for the time when the alert was triggered and alleviated.
And if CUCM remains in the Code Yellow state for a duration greater than that specified by ‘Code Yellow Duration’ service parameter, it enters a Code Red state, and the CM service would restart which possibly produces a memory dump.
For detailed analysis of the cause of the alarm, you can collect the “Cisco RIS Data Collector PerfMonLog” along with the CCM trace.
refer below docs for more on the same.

Hi Sathya,
You should always quote the exact cucm version to get an appropriate response. For code yellow you may check the following outputs from the affected server for a quick insight into what could be causing the issue
utils diagnose test ---- see if it throws up any errors for any componenet
utils core active list ---- check for any core dumps corresponding to the code yellow
If a core dump is found then you will need to contact TAC to see if it is an existing bug or any other issue.
The traces mentioned by Venkatesh will help in RCA of the issue.
