CUEAC logs in then out with no errors

Good afternoon all,

I hope this is in the right spot....We recently replaced one of our CUEAC operators PC's with a 32 bit Windows 7 PC (the same make model they had before the only reason it was replaced was their scanner would not work, we swapped PC's and the scanner works but now CUEAC doesn't). CUEAC worked great on the other PC but now when I log into the CUEAC with the same username & password along with the same extension the CUEAC software acts as though it logs in, flashes for a moment then says logged out. No errors are given at all.

I have tried running as admin, running in compatibily mode, uninstall & re-install. I can log in as this user from any other PC I install CUEAC on. I am out of ideas does anyone know what logs I could look at on the client PC for any errors etc.?

CUEAC version OPR.9.1.1. 1372

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Heath,

If the user is able to log into other windows machines that have the CUEAC client installed and not have issues, I would suspect that there may be a permissions issue on the "new" PC.  Could you try the following and see if it helps -

Use a local admin and browse to C:\Program Files\Cisco

Give the Attendant Console folder full control for the Domain Users

Use a local admin and browse to C:\Program Files\Cisco\Attendant Console

Right Click CUEAC.exe and select Properties

On the Compatibility Tab, Press Change Settings for All users.

On the bottom of the new popup, UNCHECK Run this program as an administrator.

Apply/Save

Launch the app (to create registry keys)

Run regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arc Solutions

Right click this folder and select Permissions.

Add the group Domain Users and give Full Control.

Apply/Save

Thanks,
Tony

Tony,

I tried the steps mentioned above immediately and then rebooted the PC. Opened CUEAC, logged in and bam everything worked like a charm! The users had admin rights but the main issue seemed to be that the settings under all users DID NOT have Full Control checked.

I greatly appreciate the help and input....I hope this helps anyone else that runs into this.

Thank you again Tony!

Heath

Thanks Tony!
