CUPC 8.0 upgrade problem

In the process of upgrading to Presence 8.0

I have currently the CUPC 7.0 and Video Advantage 2.1.2

when I tried to upgrade to the 8.0 client, it said that I had to uninstall the VTAdvantage client.

Here is the rub.  When I try to uninstall VTAdvantage, It says it can not RemoveCdp.7A023C9A_603E_41F5_8E96_FA2CB0894D3E

Anyone seen this before or have a workaround?

I am doing this from memory, but I think you need to run the following, from an elevated command prompt if Win 7:

msiexec /x cvta.msi

cvta.msi the is the Video Advantage MSI file.
