Hi,
Cisco released CUPS update 8.5.3 on 10/June/2011. For the update software, they have just released part 1of 2 as can be seen in the attached screenshot. Is this Cisco's new way of releasing the software or a genuine mistake?

I am going to venture a *guess* here that it's the full ISO and is just labeled wrong. I say this because 8.5(1) had two images each at 1.06GB, the 8.5(2) completed ISO was 2.02GB, and this is 2.12GB. Download it and run an MD5 hash. It should be the following per the release notes:
de6b390654d919fc5062322d2404e161 UCSInstall_CUP_8.5.3.10000-59.sgn.iso
If it won't line up you'll have to open a TAC case.
