Hi,

If the dial pad is not able to be selected this is an indication that either the softphone is not properly registered or the desk phone is not properly controlled via CTI.  This can be for many reasons so lets start with the following:

1) Is this for a soft phone or desk phone control?

2) What version of CUCM are you using?

3) Is the device (whether CSF or deskphone) associated to the end user?

4) If its desk phone, is this a 99xx or 89xx series phone or other?

Regards,

Jason

Hi Jason, the answers below:

1) Is this for a soft phone or desk phone control?

a Soft phone control, incluided inside cupc.

2) What version of CUCM are you using?

the version is 8.6.1

3) Is the device (whether CSF or deskphone) associated to the end user?

yes, it is associated.

4) If its desk phone, is this a 99xx or 89xx series phone or other?

this is a softphone.

does the softphone show Registered in CUCM?

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App

Yes. the CUPC is registred in the CUCM.

Jason, I was wrong, the device is shown unregistered in the CUCM, but chat feature works.

Have I that set the prefix CSF to add device? I have tested with  this configuration but the status of It  is unknow in CUCM.

Excuse me.

Javier

Javier,

In most cases the issue is related to downloading TFTP configuration file for the CSF device.  So I would see if you can open a command prompt and perform the following:

tftp -i get .cnf.xml

for Example:

tftp -i 10.10.10.10 get CSFjasnewma.cnf.xml.

If it's successful then it could be potentially something else and we'll need to see a detailed problem report.  If its not successful you will need to look to see what the TFTP traffic is being blocked on the PC.
