Hi All,

I configured VM following guide https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/3_1_2/ccmcfg/b06uone.html

but now after configuring all, when trying to reach to vm pilot number 5600, i am getting dead air, there is no welcome greeting.

Please let me know if i am missing anything other than this above guide.

regards

Vijay

Are you trying to call the pilot number internally or externally. Check the status of voicemail ports if they are registered or not. You can try restarting CUC as well if you are doing this for the first time and then check. You will need to create the Hunt Pilot as well and then associate the Hunt List and Line Group accordingly to that. Review the configuration again as per below video

Hi Deepak,

Thank you for your reply.

I followed the same video for setting up the VM. All configuration are good, even restarted the cuc.

issue occurring internally when i am pressing vm button of phone to dial vm pilot number. it dials pilot number connects with no audio.

but when some body call from external to extension, after no answer call is going to VM and getting audible welcome greeting as expected.

thanks in advance

Vijay

Did you try from any other phone. Please check if the DP of the phone you are trying to do this testing is the same or not as per the DP that you are using for CUC VM ports just to ensure there are no codec/region related issues.

Also what happens if you dial 5600  from problematic or other phone and not do it by pressing the Message button on phone

Regards

Deepak

it is same, when dialing the vm 5600 from other phones without pressing button.

Might want to use the port status monitor to see what you're hitting, have you changed the routing rules?

You're using a configuration guide that is over 10 years old, and none of the products mentioned there are in use anymore, the have been long gone EOS.

I suggest you start by reading the documentation for your version

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/unified-communications/unity-connection/products-installation-and-configuration-guides-list.html

I have a video on the same, for the latest releases
